It’s time for people to wake up.

So I was looking at the US Politics Facebook Application a few minutes ago. I was just reading the “[your name] is thinking…” part where you can type in what you’re thinking at the moment. Because the application is for politics here in the states, people generally type something related to that. Here are some examples I copied and pasted as I sat here reading:

Seth Trautman is thinking every clueless and politically ignorant person I know supports obama

I can honestly say that I feel the same way. His supporters only know what they hear him say in his ads and the debates. When I try to debate with an Obama supporter and they fail to know the facts, they tense up and pull the “well, whatever” card. Let me just say this now: Socialism will worsen our situation. Let me draw it out for you.

Socialized healthcare = Doctors working for the government

Government jobs = Lower salary for doctors

Doctors getting paid less = Medical School costs go down [so they can pay back the loans]

Lower cost of Med School = Lower salary for teachers

Obama supporters generally bring up teacher salaries. Seriously, if the pay isn’t good enough, then don’t get a job as a teacher. It seems like teachers generally get a much higher satisfaction out of teaching, but our government doesn’t [thankfully] choose your job for you. Also, teachers get paid based on what they work, which is around 180 days a year with fall, winter, spring [spring break], and summer vacations. But again, no one is forcing them.

Aaron Bryant is thinking people need to open their eyes to ZEITGEIST THE MOVIE!! Amen.

Kevin Monsees is thinking We had huge support for the war in iraq initially, so what made everyone change their opinion? Did you not know that war would mean people would die?

We went into the war on false pretenses and Iraq wasn’t even behind 9/11.

Some people think the Bush administration [or just the federal government in general] was involved with the 9/11 attacks. I’m going to admit that I’m open-minded about it and that I still don’t know what to think. I do, however, think people need to research before automatically assuming that anything diverting from what corporate media tells us is false. Hasn’t history told us that thinking “different is bad” isn’t a good thing?

Joe Zabrowski is thinking why do we never have any candidates who will actually change things? Who chooses these candidates anyway?

Okay, let’s examine Obama’s stance. His main advocacy is “change.”

Obviously most Americans, if not all, want some kind of change. So, to me, that is the most ridiculous campaign I have ever heard. The problem is that Americans are too ignorant to see how NORMAL it is to want change.

We currently have 700 troops in over 130 countries.

let me repeat that: ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY COUNTRIES.

Why is Iraq [/the Middle East] the only place of interest?

This is a huge deal and more people should be talking about it. I know we, as Americans, would never allow any other nation’s military to station themselves here. This is obvious, so why are we so arrogant?!?!?!?

Furthermore, Ron Paul is the only candidate [and politician for that matter] who I’ve ever heard even mention the other countries.

Read his stance on many different issues. Even if you’ve already voted, it’s nice to hear/read what he has to say about this nation.

I assume/hope that he’ll run next election, and we can only hope for a victory.

He is, of all things, a doctor. So he knows and understands healthcare. Canadians, on many occasions, have come to America for healthcare. Socialized healthcare, as he says, will not magically work here if it doesn’t work there.

Ever heard a girl say that “bitches” only talk shit about her because they’re jealous? We all know that ISN’T TRUE. It’s because she’s probably a bitch who can’t stay out of other people’s business.

HELLO! That’s what we are currently doing. And we’re telling our children “oh, it’s okay Johnny. those Muslims only try and hurt us because they’re jealous.”

The whole idea, though, is that you need to research on your own.

Today is my day off and I’m having a hard time centering myself around that. I’ve worked like every single day and for once, today I’m not having to be a slave to porn.
It makes me feel really strange. I like working. Is this a sign of maturity or just being a tool to society? I’m having a hard time with this. Maybe I’ll go clean the whole house.

Is it just me or has this epidemic of shitty emo music not died out in the least? Every time I get my shit copy of AP in the mail it’s another lame fall out boy look-alike band or when I log onto myspace it’s usually a page of these clones. I know I haven’t been to school in a while, but i’d hate to see what it brings in these days in terms of scene hoppers and indie hipsters.
